Step aside, American Idol. Move over, Carpool Karaoke. Watch out, TikTok.
Amazon-owned Twitch on Friday announced plans to launch a new karaoke-style game and singing competition.

The upcoming Twitch Sings game was "built from the ground up for live streaming, with over a thousand songs and features that streamers and their communities can use to make creative, one-of-a-kind performances together," Twitch teased in a news release. Viewers will be able to "request songs, cheer to activate light shows on stage, and send challenges for their favorite streamers to tackle."

Twitch Sings is currently in beta, but should arrive for everyone "soon," the company said.

Twitch is also gearing up to host a live singing competition inside the game, called Twitch Sings: Stream Star, offering a grand prize of $20,000.

Those who wish to participate will need to submit a video of their best Twitch Sings performance. When the submission period ends, Twitch will pick eight semi-finalists to go head-to-head. Viewers will vote to narrow the pool down to four finalists, who will win a trip to TwitchCon Europe in Berlin this April to compete for the grand prize.

"Our hope is that Twitch Sings: Stream Star will create opportunities for a new group of stars to shine on Twitch," Chief Marketing Officer Kate Jhaveri said in a statement. "There is so much talent on Twitch and the competition is a way for us to support the next wave of performers and make sure their talent is both rewarded and visible to a huge audience."

Any video from Twitch you can always download the application.
